This issue contains findings and proposed updates to the Export as HTML capability.

  • Propose that the Profile Status panel of the report be modified to include totals as follows:

  • Provide the option for a light / heavy export
    • The light option would minimize HTML file size, see here for optimization
    • The Heavy option would maintain all of the bells and whistles that it current provides

  • Investigate the rendering limitation (around 500 MB HTML)
    • When generating a report that the HTML is ~ greater than 510 MB we are experiencing the following error:

I'm not opposed either way w/r to table or column orientation, just have three concerns:

  • what to do with the compliance section?
  • how to handle the additional text we have next to pass/fail that specify the sub checks
  • tables frequently require a lot of work to flow properly when the width of a page is narrow
