Hi Marii and Alex!

I created derivative images from a pdf. Unfortunately I could not scroll through the images using the Simple viewer. It would be great if instead there could be a link or viewer to open the pdf file?

Best,
Indivar

Hi Indivar,

I put this in the wiki but should have mentioned in class (https://minicomp.github.io/wiki/wax/running-the-tasks/derivatives/, check the "Which one should I use?")

Basically: one reason to use IIIF would be to get the paged view. I'm hoping to make a multi-page simple viewer soon, but your idea to have a link to the PDF file in the meantime is a great one.

Converting/renaming this issue to be scoped to the theme changes needed; task changes are now in wax_tasks issue: minicomp/wax_tasks#90

@mnyrop mnyrop changed the title PDF with Simple Image Viewer Openseadragon for IIIF ~and~ simple image viewing. Jul 19, 2023
