Currently, this script will allow you to render a scene stip that contains an additional VSE strip. But, if you render a 3D scene strip in the VSE, you will notice that the 3D object keyframes seem to break.
You can see for yourself by creating a 3D scene, keyframing the object to move, and importing the 3D scene into your VSE.
By default, the script will detect the 3D scene and prevent rendering. So you need to permit 3D scene rendering by changing the the following script setting on line 200:
permit_scene_strips = True
