Package version: 1.2.7
Remote OS: WinXP
Remote files: plain-text (*.txt)
Issue of reproduction : Can not reproduction this issue after remote files have been copied to dev/lab machines
Exception message:

'utf-16-le' codec can't decode bytes in position xxx-yyy: illegal UTF-16 surrogate
