It would be cool if VSC would auto-detect that a branch was committed to master and deleted when the merge was processed. This would result in perhaps:
The automatic delete of the local same named branch on my local client AND a pop-up telling me that the local branch (insert name of branch) was deleted and would I like to sync on the master?
This of course would all be controllable via local VSC settings. Not sure what the default should be if we get that far. Settings might be, 1) automatic local branch delete if pull request was completed and branch was deleted set to true/false and 2) pop-up window asking me if I want to sync on the master branch that is in play set to true/false.

One thing to note, if this gets into the product, it would deliver TURNED OFF. If a user wanted the behavior, they would have to go into settings and flip it on.
This feature request has not yet received the 20 community upvotes it takes to make to our backlog. 10 days to go. To learn more about how we handle feature requests, please see our documentation.
