False Dead Clicks #603

We're getting false-positives for dead clicks in some of the following situations:

Clicking on a div element that is acting as a button
Clicking outside modal window to close the window
etc.

Is there a JS event we can fire and/or HTML attribute we can add to avoid dead click reporting for known scenarios?
