Connection error: cannot read property version of undefined #1600

I was getting this same error and finally was able to connect by reading this #1262 I had custom connections, so I cleared them in the dev tools. When I tried again it worked. e.g. "open the developer tools (hit F12), select the Application tab, expand Local Storage > file:// and look for StorageExplorer_CustomConnections_* keys. If anything in there is nonempty, you have a custom connection saved." |

I clear everything from the cache and it's still giving me the error when I try to connect. |

If you see an error message talking about uids of undefined, then whatever you just attached should be there. That error message started being surfaced in 1.9.0 due to us adding some additional error handling logic. You should just be able to refresh the tree view though and whatever you attached should show up. Duplicate of #1532 |
