Hey,
Although I followed your installation instructions every time I try to save a chart an error message appears saying "Filetype not permitted: svg"

You probably have this fixed by now, but you need to enable permissions for SVG files in your LocalSettings.php. Just add this line: $wgFileExtensions[] = 'svg';
