Symlink errors cannot be dismissed

After the latest update, on rebooting my computer, I was presented a message saying there were problems and a prompt to select smart or manual resolution. Since I wasn't sure what it was about to do, I opted for manual mode. Turns out it's a set of 8792 item type conflicts where it complains that things are symlinks.

1. I'm not entirely sure why that's suddenly a problem.
2. Each of these 8792 items has a dropdown selection of "Ignore symbolic link" and "Ignore symbolic links in all syncs", but if I pick either one, it tells me "The issue may have been solved externally. Please, refresh the list." On refresh, I still have the same list of 8792 errors, so it seems I'm completely stuck.
