IP not doing anything to video

I used this code to create a Vitis HLS IP successfully and placed it between the VDMA and Stream to Video out blocks but it doesn't seem to have any effect on the video. I input color bars via either a test pattern generator in VHDL or writing images to DDR3 memory from the PS and in either case, I just get my full color bars out.

When you tested your code, did you create an IP and insert it in a video path like this? Did it work?
