I have an immediate need for this, so I will look into it. @DonLakeFlyer do you remember why it was considered unstable?

Vaguely remember: The follow me support in ArduPilot requires a good heading value and things like an android tablets can't give you good heading values. It might have been a Qt problem with respect to sensors support. Maybe works better in Qt 6.
