Hi,

Thanks for this tool. I’ve been using it a lot for multiple plugged webcams.

Yet, lately the webcams lost their unique identifier, they are all named BRIO. There is no way for me to rename then. It makes it impossible to target one since the name is always the same.

Is there a way, I could target the Port instead (similar to openCV)?

Kind Regards,

Clément

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this, before I go debugging a couple of questions:

  • Did you do any firmware update on the cameras lately that might have caused their names to change?
  • What macOS are you running
  • If the cameras are connected via USB do you know what USB version?

Thanks!

It should be easy enough to allow camera selection via another means. Right now I'm just string matching on the name attribute.

I'll hopefully get a chance to take a look at this next week.

We updated the OS version. Moved to macOS Monterey 12.5.1

Since then the Logitech Brio webcams have all the same name.

Hi @matthutchinson did you get a chance to test this out and do we have an update on this?
