With regard to #1081 I wondered if stackedplots arent supported at all or if they require a bit more tweeking?

Im unsure, because one issue would be the warnings displayed in #1081 Im receiving and the other is the empty tex-file as follows (doesnt matter whether standalone is activated or not):
