As I understand it, the old method of preloading mods with the itemtest map has not been working well for a few months. A while ago, it was found that various mods can be preloaded using VScript by loading all models and textures in batch. Someone created a map for that purpose and uploaded it to gamebanana.

It would be a good idea to integrate it directly with mastercomfig for ease of use, since it requires modifying certain setting (which I'm frankly unsure whether they are a placebo or not). Otherwise, mentioning it in the documentation would also be good enough for those searching to mod their game.

It's planned, originally it was made for mastercomfig actually iirc

but thanks for the reminder, I forgot about adding it!

This didn't make it in for 9.10.3 but will be in the next release.
