Describe the bug
The July 25th TF2 update changed the DT system. All old demos will not run, exiting with the error "Host_EndGame: CL_ParseClassInfo_EndClasses: CreateDecoders failed." I believe the benchmark_test timedemo linked in the mastercomfig docs will need to be modified/remade to work with the current version of the game.

How you encountered the issue
I tried to run timedemo benchmark_test, and it gave me the above error.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • mastercomfig version: 9.10.2
  • Preset and addon(s): Medium-high, flatmouse, nosoundscapes, opengl, transparent viewmodels
  • Custom values (if any): sprays on, hud_player_model on, outlines high
  • DX level: I don't know if this exists on linux, but if it does, I never changed it
  • Launch options: gamemoderun %command% -novid -nojoy -nosteamcontroller -nohltv -particles 1 -precachefontchars -condebug -conclearlog -usercon
  • Operating system (OS): Pop!_OS 22.04
  • Graphics card (GPU): RTX 2070 Super
  • Graphics driver version: 535.104.05
  • Processor (CPU): Ryzen 5 3600
  • TF2 on HDD or SSD: HDD
  • Memory (RAM) size in MB or GB: 16GB

The July 25th update broke demo playback for previously recorded demos. As a workaround, you can change TF2's beta branch to pre_07_25_23_demos in order to run the benchmark.
