So that it becomes more relevant

gftp-text text supports -d, to download files, other switches can be added

  • gftp = gtk ftp
  • cftp = console ftp (possible new name for gftp-text)

Currently gFTP doesn't support protocols without dir listings, that support can be implemented in gftp-text along other features not suitable for a GUI

restore HTTP/HTTPS support (hidden, broken)

It was so broken that even HTTP requests didn't use CRLF (only LF)

I fixed a few things, file tranfers can potentially work,
but gftp requires dir listings, something that is broken (beyond repair)

Tests reveal that HTTP/HTTPS connections are made and communication happens

an alternate method should be devised to support protocols without dir listings
... in CLI mode (gftp-text)
