Translation contributions ? (or get rid of localized text entirely)

I'd like to recomment LFE to other people, but it's not avaialble in my native language (french) and some people might find it annoying.
Would you consider accepting translation requests ?

I've used tools like Weblate and Crowdin before but they are very heavy on ressources. I've heard about Transifex... maybe it's more lightweight ? on the other hand, the maintainer of Snappymail seems to be using a pretty lightweight and simple alternative (available here).

Alternatively... and this might be less ressource heavy and much more effective.
Alternatively LFE could be designed to only feature icons and symbols instead of text labels. That would entirely remove the need for any translation, but could be quite a challenge to find a fitting symbol for each action.

For the love of all that is holy, please do not proceed with this. Many people struggle with understanding icons alone. I very much prefer a full-text over full-icon UI (if both is not an option) and I really hope I'm not the only one.
