Unable to delete any file

Describe the bug
I am unable to delete any file with this app. Files open OK, just can not delete them

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:
Long press a file, either on internal phone storage or external SD Card to select and highlight it. Select delete in dialogue screen. Dialogue screen disappears but nothing else happens, file is not deleted and no error messages.

Expected Behaviour
Selecting a file to delete should result in file being deleted

[Optional] Additional information
I've looked at basic things like file permissions just in case that being an issue, however Little File Explorer has permisison to access storage and I not sure what else it may be.
