Description

As a user: on IMAT / Instrument Scientists
I want to: Auto Calibrate my Fit
For: known powder samples such as Iron, Copper, Aluminium, tungsten and sometime Ceramic
So that: I can match up/validate recorded spectrum fit to what is expected automatically to optimise ToF camera setup on IMAT.
Unlike: the existing process which is to calibrate manually
Our solution: is beneficial to improve available beam time for users by decreasing setup time of ToF cameras on IMAT.

Needs further communication with IMAT as this may require collaboration with Controls once we reach a certain requirement as part of this work. - from a support perspective, support would likely be dealt with by controls as long as we only interact with IBEX via genie python as the same commands we would use would be the same commands used to manually perform task.
