The virtual mic only capture my Microphone #214
Comments
I also have this problem. Linux Mint 21.1 with Pipewire. |
If it helps, I also had this problem, and I found a solution. But it turned out to be Easy Effects' fault, not discord-screenaudio's. Do you have Easy Effects or a similar program running? I use Easy Effects to filter noise out of my microphone. For me, Easy Effects was hijacking the audio input from the app into discord-screenaudio. (and Vesktop and every other solution I tried) Instead of feeding it the audio from the game, it was feeding it the result of my microphone filtering stack. i.e. it fed my microphone into the game audio stream. The solution was to go into Easy Effects and untick "Enable" for the streams related to streaming the game to discord-screenaudio. That way, Easy Effects would leave them alone and let the original audio through. Eventually, I ended up going into Easy Effects settings and turning off "Process All Output Streams" and "Process All Input Streams" so now I have to manually turn Easy Effects on for the few apps I want to use it with and it should keep itself off for everything else. |
No, I'm not using any other software that deals with audio |
when I start a stream, instead of hearing the screen audio, it only plays the audio from my microphone.
how do i fix it?
