I have template driven forms and the required validation is not working on my control.
It is working on demo for reactive forms https://stackblitz.com/edit/mat-select-autocomplete-formcontrol?file=src%2Fapp%2Fapp.component.html.
But not for template driven forms:- https://stackblitz.com/edit/mat-select-autocomplete?file=src%2Fapp%2Fapp.component.html

Can you help fixing this?
