Hi Max,

What is the beacon interval? Will the beacon be on all the time, or only TX in response to GS commands?

Best,

Bob

Hi @N6RFM, thanks for the interest!

Beacon interval is 30 seconds. See https://gitlab.com/librespacefoundation/satnogs-ops/-/issues/142 for modulation details. Each beacon packet also contains a 0.8 second CW message at the beginning of each transmission. This is to aid in folks searching for the inherently wide bandwidth LoRa packets.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Max. K4KDR and I are chomping at the bit! We've spent a lot of effort on RX Norby LoRa packets in the 70cm band.
All Best. Bob

Would have loved to be in the 70cm band for this mission, but it wasn't in the cards. First mission at 33cm for me as well.

I'll keep you guys updated.
