SVG upload

Hello,
i am trying to upload a svg image.

But i am getting an error from my mediawiki api:

error: Error returned by API: File extension ".svg" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (text/plain).
data: code=verification-error, info=File extension ".svg" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (text/plain)., details=[filetype-mime-mismatch, svg, text/plain],

Can the mime-type somehow be set?
