Add an option so Connections and Config tabs both display at the same time on click when "unpinned".

Expected Behavior

When Connections and Config tabs are "unpinned/hidden/collapsed" add an option that when clicking on either, it will display both tabs. Similar to the behavior when both tabs are "pinned/visible/uncollapsed".

In my humble opinion, is easier to work with remote connections when you have both Connection and Config tabs available at the same time, regardless if is a "fly-in" panel or it is pinned.

Current Behavior

When Connections and Config tabs are "unpinned" you have to click on each one individually to view each panel.
When both tabs are "pinned", you select a Connection the Config tab is visible too, so both tabs at the same time.

Possible Solution

It would be nice either allow them to live in the same panel, or add an option that can be enabled and displays both tabs a the same time

Context

Making changes, or getting information about the connections requires two clicks. It seems to me it is more efficient if is possible to select a connection and see its config when ever it is selected. Regardless if tabs are pinned or unpinned.

Personally I work a lot with RDP/VNC. I like to have as much real state for my desktop when connected, so I usually unpin tabs, so they display only on demand.

When I need to get info for any of my connections, I need first to select that connection on the Connections tab, then click on Config tab to view the details of such connection.

A change like this, will definitely improve workflows similar to mine.

Example below (recording);

  • When tabs are "pinned", both of them are visible at the same time. I just need to:
  1. select the connection and I can see/edit it's corresponding config.
  • When tabs are "unpinned", I need to:
  1. click on connections tab
  2. select the connection
  3. click on config tab to see the config.

I understand steps 1 and 2 on the second scenario, are required, but 3 could be saved with this improvement.

There seems to be a similar request, #153, but in this case, the request is to have the panels take the whole screen. In My case I am requesting panels to be split vertically on the left side of the screen, as shown in the recordings
