On the Python side it would be really easy to put it in a scalar (graph attribute). But we don't have a backend operation that runs Python and outputs a table and a scalar. There also isn't a great way to display a lone scalar, without a graph.
We could add a one-off new backend operation for this. But I wonder if we could set up a mechanism for defining operations in Python? It could open the door for user-made plugins too.
