Hi
I am having issues on this one, too.

I set the time unit on my mesh layer (seconds), I set the time step on the temporal controller (hours), but the export animation saves the output every 25 days by default. So to make it work I have to do the following:

  1. set the unit to hours on my layer
  2. set 25 days as time step
  3. export the animation

By doing so, the time stamp is always wrong. It would be useful to be able to customize the time in the layout to print e.g. only hours or minutes or whatever it is useful!
