It's currently impossible to select text form a label.

I'd solve this by allowing the drag selection either

  • only on the selection column (i.e., a classical cross-set like in Bertifier https://aviz.fr/bertifier_app/Matrix.html?csv=1 - here there are multiple cross-filters for different options all only with a fairly narrow "region")
  • Also allowing it also on the rank column
Though I think just on the selection column would be the most consistent.

You could also check the direction of the drag operation:

  • vertical = select rows
  • horizontal in a single row/cell = select text
  • horizontal over multiple rows = select text
