I think that it would be good to flush currently committed changes and make new release :)

As python 2 will be removed from major distribution a new release with python3 is mandatory.

Also distros like Fedora already ship basically a random git snapshot so any release will be better than the current state.

Please do this. The git version works pretty well right now. I think we should start fresh with “libimobiledevice 2.0.” Release is 167 commits behind...

Releases of all projects around libimobiledevice hosted here are imminent.
A regular release schedule is going to be setup by the team soon.
