Keep mac calendar app open?

Hey, thanks for the app, it's working great.

I'm using MeetingBar to see my Google Calendar events. I don't use the mac default calendar app, can I just add the Google calendar in it and keep the default calendar app closed forever, or do I need to keep it open to sync the events?

MaсOS launches the calendar agent in the background and updates the calendar with the selected periodicity.
