Describe the enhancement

LeftWM already implements XDG_AUTOSTART for applications present in ~/.config/autostart/ however some applications like the gnome-keyring-daemon are only runnable in GNOME-like environments. While there are a thousand hacks to try to get that working, every system is different and consistency for those .desktop files is lost.

Is this feature out of scope for LeftWM? 🤔

just curious whoud that enable the gnome-screenshot behaviour in LEFT-wm 2 ?

with the extra ui for capturing gifs ects.

I doubt so as the gnome-screenshot package is the one who does that. The "mock" would be useful for other tools that are only started when the desktop environment is detected as GNOME.
