Can't make my workflow output anything

Hi! I've been trying to make this library work for a while, but I'm stuck... I've created a very simple workflow, following the README and the sample app but the output remains unchanged, can't make my activities to write "hello" on a file or even being displayed on screen or logs. Let me show what I got:

This is the command to start the workflow:

And finally this is the Activity:

And it allways keep like this:

Have you tried to put a "Log::debug(...)" into your activity?

I've updated the Activity, here's what changed:

use Illuminate\Support\Facades\Log;
use Workflow\Activity;

class MyActivity extends Activity
{
    public function execute($name)
    {
        Log::debug('Hello from Activity!');
        return "Hello, {$name}!";
    }
}

No output from console, no output from workflow->output().... By the way this lines doesn't look fine:

    while ($workflow->running());
    $workflow->output();

The second statement is unreachable. Right?

i am not the expert here, but there is another thread about "output" with some snippets that work. maybe you can copy&paste that and adopt that to your needs: #72 (comment)

@AromeroWV Did you make sure to run the queue worker?

    while ($workflow->running());
    $workflow->output();

This is fine because the 2nd line will be reached once the workflow is completed.

Well, the command php artisan queue:work -vvv is on

But the workflow never ends so it keeps stuck at running and I have to kill the process. That's why i asked for those lines

BTW, I'm using the sync driver, default options for jobs and all that... Maybe is that the problem? That it locks the execution and thats why the workflow keeps stuck?

@AromeroWV Yes, that's the problem. You can't use the sync driver. Sorry!

Laravel Workflow can be used with any queue driver that Laravel supports (except the sync driver), including:

Amazon SQS
Beanstalkd
Database
Redis

Well, my bad there!!! I had to read it better! Thank you very very much, a little mistake and you could end trapped haha!
