When I try to make a call and the call via VOLTE is not possible, the phone switches directly to the 2G network instead of 3G. In my location, the 3G network works and there is even Internet. To put it briefly, calls do not make a smooth transition from 4G to 3G.

I would like to see:

  1. a setting that completely disables the 2G network.
  2. Fixes seamless transition from 4G to 3G. So if Volte unavailable, phone should change network from 4G to 3G, but not from 4G to 2G

thank you!

Just wondering, what flags have you toggled? And also what android version are you running?

Okay, so I will say that the feature you are requesting is impossible in the scope of this app (and I believe that Turn off 2G toggle is available in Android 13+, look into lineageos based roms if you want latest android version) but I might be able to help you

  1. Dial *#*#4636#*#*
  2. Go to Phone Information
  3. Look under Set preferred network type:
Here's the thing you need to know
    NR - 5G
    LTE - 4G
    WCDMA - 3G

So, if you want 4G + 5G only you select NR/LTE
And if you want 4G only, you select LTE only

See how that goes!
