The INSTALL file says this:

Building Kurrent

See doc/readme-qt.rst for instructions on building Kurrent-qt,
the intended-for-end-users, nice-graphical-interface, reference
implementation of Kurrent.

See doc/build-*.txt for instructions on building Kurrentd,
the intended-for-services, no-graphical-interface, reference

... there is no "doc" directory in the whole repository.
