Kaju.StripURLCredentials does not seem to work

I added on the app the URL https://uSER:ds4Sfgr4#g@updates.site.com/download/app/

And once the regex finishes the result is still the same while i guess it should be https://updates.site.com/download/app/

Any idea what could be the problem ? is it possible that special characters could affect that ? like in my case # and other characters ?

Indeed , special characters affect the search, in this case how i can allow special characters in the password side? i cannot weaken the password just for this
