Apple silicon build?

I came accross glyph collector pretty randomly, and curious to try it out I downloaded it, but it stalls on startup on my M1 mac. More precisely, blank window with the words "One sec..." in the middle. I assume this is an Apple Silicon issue?
Is the project dead or is there a possibillity for an Apple Silicon version?
I'd love to try it out, it seems like a cool idea. Suggestions for alternative software would also be appreciated.

Oh wait no my bad, I was running it from the downloads folder. When I moved it into Applications it snapped into life. Rather slow still, but it's doing something.
