Support for uuid primary keys

I have a use case, where the data model build on PostgreSQL/PostGIS uses the uuid-ossp extension to populate primary keys on all tables. When Import this tables to kart, all this fields are converted into text.

I have tried to convert them back to the uuid datatype, which works fine, except that (related or not) from this point on wards I am no longer able to view the geometric changes on the qgis plugin.

I wonder if it would be possible to add support to uuid datatypes without casting it to text.

@SrNetoChan using a text field as a dataset primary key should work, anywhere it doesn't is a bug. Most datasets have integer PKs so it's possible a regression has happened.

So you're doing something like ALTER TABLE kart.mydataset ALTER COLUMN id TYPE uuid USING (uuid(id));?

@olsen232 natively supporting UUID PKs could be a fairly elegant way to sidestep the complexity of merging integer PKs?

In that case it seems it's a bug on the plugin. The error I mention happens when I hope the difference viewer even before I convert the primary key field into uuid.

BTW I am using:
