When running the command: ko apply -Rf config/core/ in https://github.com/knative/serving/blob/main/DEVELOPMENT.md#deploy-knative-serving it shows

unable to recognize "STDIN": no matches for kind "HorizontalPodAutoscaler" in version "autoscaling/v2"

What version of Kubernetes are you using? You'll need to be on v1.23+ to be able to build from head (as that's when the autoscaling/v2 version of the HPA was introduced).
