I complete newbie about kmonad, I encountered this software by chance. Please bare with me. I am an arch user thinking about migrating nixos. I have been using a customized keyboard layout derived from Turkish trf layout. However maintaning it, becomes problem since arch continuous updates often break my setup since update often changes some common files which I had to modify to create a new layout such as evdev.xml, base.xml, evdev under /usr/share/X11/xkb etc. I should have long created a package but got lazy to do that.
I have several question.
Can kmonad create custom layouts for not latin1/us keyboards? I would like give a name to that layout and use it in desktop environments. Right now, I am using my own keyboard layout with its own private name in KDE or i3, console/tty environments that I use.
if so, where can I find keymaps and/or keynames. I would like modify existing layout. How can I easily do that? For example, I would like to learn the names of keys that exist in Turkish language such as (ğ) gbreve, (Ğ) Gbreve, (ş) scedilla, (Ş) Scedilla etc. which are normally found at /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/*.map or /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/ in my arch system.
