Login via Google won't work: Insecure Browser error #243
Comments
I'd actually love to submit a pull request with the bug fixed. It's an issue with Google detecting that the sign-in is from an application and so would require you to go through their OAuth and get the user to login from their browsers instead. I'll have a look at getting it done within the week |
Hi, Facing the same issue, adding some more details. OS: Fedora 31, kernel 5.3.16-300.fc31.x86_64 The "Learn more" link on the error screen will lead to the following URL: |
I am also experiencing this error. |
I also experienced the same problem, I used ubuntu 19.10 and tusk version 0.23.0 |
If you are using Tusk in Ubuntu, best solution is using your account info (username & password) to login program. Since Google has no given any chance to login and acts ridiculously, this will be best solution i guess. I couldn't login my account because of this thing since a month. |
I am experiencing the same issue. Not able to use Tusk more than a month. All my previous data are linked to the google account Using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and tusk 0.23.0. Hope this gets resolved soon |
You can login your account with Chrome browser https://evernote.com/ by using your Goggle credentals. After that you can still use tusk in chrome browser. But if you want to use tusk in ubuntu right now, best solution is using your evernote login name and password. |
ok. Thanks for your support. |
Same issue here, version 0.23.0 on Ubuntu |
Same issue here Ubuntu 20.04LTS 64-bit |
Hey guys, I was having the same issue, but I found a way to login to the account associated with your gmail. Just enter your gmail, press continue, and reset your password using forgot password. And then from now on, you can just log in to that acc using the email and new password. |
I have similar issue, because I am using two factor authentication I am not even offered the option of enabling the less secure app switch. |
