Is this compatible with other games like Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Rocket Knight Adventures, Soleil and The Story of Thor using the custom mappings option?

are there disassemblies for those games available or examples / explanations of the mapping formats to see?

In regards to Shinobi (Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi 3) and Streets of Rage 2+3 yes I have disassemblies. The other games mentioned I do have disassemblies for them but haven't looked at the mapping formats for them yet
