Remove rule for deleted node when a new document is created in the same location with the same name #188

I have a customer with an editor who previously deleted a news article which added an entry to the url tracker tabl. They later created the same news article with the exact same name in the exact same location but it was never accessible due to the previously inserted rule.

Should it be considered to remove any matching rules for removed nodes when a new node is created that would result in a url that matches one in the OldUrl column?

The 410 Gone entry is, in theory, only considered when no content is there to show, e.g. a 404 status.
Well, at least, this is how I originally built it, but I'm not sure if this is still the case after all these years ;-)

Is this the same issue as #168?
Should be fixed?

I'll need to see if I can recreate the issue then, perhaps it was a coincidence that it started working as expected after deleting the Url Tracker record. Also, in case it's of relevance this was on a load balanced site.
