AuthN is alive! It handles its scope of responsibility quite well and is deployed into multiple production environments. I'm still able to coordinate and guide contributions and manage releases.

Nonetheless, I'm seeking an additional maintainer who can increase the bus factor and bring new energy to the project. If you are interested, please reach out to lance-at-cainlevy-dot-net with some brief detail about your experiences with AuthN and your vision for how you'd like to continue moving it forward.

Hi @cainlevy, since this post (a year later), does AuthN remain alive?

I'm about to use this project for a production system and it looks like the activity has dwindled, but I'm not sure if that is a symptom of a mature project, or no users/maintainers.

Hi @nii236, the project is very stable. I wouldn't expect more significant activity unless the scope changed in some way.

That said, AuthN does not have the newest things like Passkeys or FIDO2. I would recommend deciding how important those are to you.

@cainlevy I am considering to join the maintainer team, is that offer still on the table?

@diegosperes definitely! currently, the difference between a contributor and a maintainer is the ability to create releases.
