I've used this API for one of my projects, but Marudor just made his HAFAS API online.
https://docs.marudor.de/#tag/HAFAS-V1
It has many more features and doesen't rely on some web scraping.
Just use some POST-Requests.

Also, there's a variety of other HAFAS clients available.

See also #1 (comment), where I elaborated how to use hafas-client from Python via RPC.
