laboratory search is clunky

Typing in your search and clicking something in the drop down causes the dropdown to disappear and doesn’t search.

Pressing “enter” will go to the highlighted element, but typically I want to find everything that contains a keyword, e.g. “user”
So I have to keep searching for “user” then remembering where I left off and clicking into the next field.
It’d be nice to be able to fuzzy match fields and types when searching
