The Snowboy team has made a setup.py for snowboy and the package should be available soon in Pypi.
Time for us to implement Snowboy as a lib.

@Sispheor Sispheor added this to the v0.4.5 milestone May 20, 2017

The problem here is that the python pip package ue swig to compile on the fly the binary.
It takes some time on Rpi.
Also, the package needs swig 3.0.10.
On Debian/raspbian the version in package mirror is ok.
On Ubuntu 16.04, the version available in package mirror is 3.0.8. And so a manuall install would be necessary before.

Maybe the best choice is to keep our integration and wait for Ubuntu 18.04 before based the snowboy install on pip.

What do you think @LaMonF ?

@Sispheor : Many people are using Kalliope with Ubuntu 16.04, I suggest to wait for the support of swig package in Ubuntu 18.04 ... in April 18.

Snowboy seems now supported by our STT lib.
