Phil
In support of my QRA-Skimmer for your software it would help if I could pass/define a filename to your "pcmrecord" on the command line so I don't have to parse standard output and wait for you to autogenerate one.

Thanks!

Thanks Rob, I'll see if I can merge in pcmrecord's "-L" maxtime option to accomplish what I need to record a specific interval.

'pcmrecord' handles multiple simultaneous streams on the same multicast group, so it needs to auto-generate file names to distinguish them. If you pass a single file name, how would I handle multiple streams?

Andy, did you still want to do this? How should I generate file names for multiple streams to the same output multicast group? Note that radiod now automatically multicasts status metadata onto each output stream so that applications like pcmrecord can use it.
