I'm running comparisons between the two non-animation algorithms, starting with SRMD. I'm using stable 4.8.1 and its moving decently given my VM hardware available (1.5 it/s according to the console window). My question is in regard to the resource use.
Using SRMD, with two processes set on the main page, and 2:2:2 set on the driver page, my GPU memory is only 1.5G used, the GPU processing is only 3%, but the CPU ( 4x2.99GHz Xeon) usage is about 45% (in detail, the CPU is bouncing between 30 - 50%).
Should I be expecting a higher GPU usage? If so, are there settings I need to look at? Or is SRMD more a CPU-based algorithm? If I bump that CPU count up to 8, should I expect better performance?
When this completes and I crunch through using RealSR, should I expect similar?
Also, in 4.8.1, is there a way to pass additional custom parameters to the ffmpeg process that aren't represented by the fields in the ffmpeg tab?
Edit: Using RealSR ncnn vulkan, I'm using almost no GPU but a lot of CPU.
