Dear all,
When I use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+Z, the application asks me to save my work before closing the window.

If I use the Edit/Undo drop-down menu, everything works normally.
Best regards
Simon

@simonmarti1992 I noticed that you're based in France. Are you using a French AZERTY keyboard? It's possible that, for you, Ctrl+Z is sending the key codes associated with Ctrl+W (close window) on a US/UK keyboard.

On an AZERTY keyboard, the key W is in the lower-left, to the right of the left Shift key. If you press Ctrl+W on your keyboard, does "Undo" happen?

Thanks for opening this issue!

Thank you for your reply. I do indeed have an azerty keyboard. I also suspected a problem of this nature AZERTY/QWERTY. However, when I press CTRL+W on JupyterLab, the window closes as expected.

Have you found a way to resolve this bug? 🤔

Same problem for me with an azerty keyboard also.
I suspect this issue is the same as the one reported in #640. CTRL+Z works fine with JupyterLab but not JupyterLab desktop. Trying to set up custom shortcuts, I also noticed that symbol keys (above and to the right of letters) are not correct.

Same issue with a french keyboard here, "ctr z" and "ctrl w" close Jlab Desktop.

The only "solution" that I have is to downgrade to version 3.6.3-1 and before, hope there will be way to solve that with newer versions!
