Tap dance but don't reset cycle

I'm trying to make it so that when I tap shift, it cycles between C-l and f6 to make opening firefox's urlbar more convenient, This is what I currently have:

ffe (tap-hold-press 200 200 (tap-dance 200 (C-l f6)) lsft)

But It keeps reseting the cycle, so tapping once focuses urlbar, and then I have to tap twice to unfocus, which isn't too bad but I would like it so that I just have to press it once, (I know likely will cause me issues if I unfocus the urlbar with my mouse instead of tapping shift 😅)

Ah, yea you'll need a more recent version. E.g. https://github.com/jtroo/kanata/releases/tag/v1.6.0-prerelease-4

@jtroo I recently updated to 1.6.0 and It keeps giving me an invalid input key name error, can you help me understand what I could be doing wrong? I'm assuming I can't use C-l as a key, is there a workaround?

Yea correct you can't use C-l as an "input". C-l in input history doesn't work because it's two keys. See sample

Thanks for the help! I don't understand how it works, or why tap-dance-eager is used (to activate the history I presume?) but I'll mark this as solved.
