How many instances could make from one category?

I'm trying instance segmentation from coco-annotator because the img that I tasks is have many spots and I have to detect and count them.
Because the img that I annotates the objects is include many objects in one category.

Is this have limit? If has, how many instances can I make?

Is this method right for instance segmentation?

To my opinion and knowledge, there is no limitation.
The only limit should be available Ram et power consumed in Web Navigator.
Note, you may have to scroll to see all ids in category.
